Finance leadership for global scale-up and strategic clarity.

Vice President FP&A

Mission

Our client, a globally active life sciences and analytical instruments company, was seeking a Vice President FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis for one of its fastest-growing global divisions. The role required a finance executive who could manage complex, multinational performance data, build forward-looking planning capabilities, and act as a strategic partner to the business unit leadership team.

Approach
We conducted an international search focused on senior FP&A leaders with experience in life sciences, medtech, or industrial technology - particularly those familiar with scaling functions, managing through complexity, and driving decision-making with actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate also needed to bring strong leadership and the ability to work across regions and functions.

Result
We placed a VP Finance with deep FP&A and commercial finance expertise across global business environments. The candidate quickly built credibility across the leadership team, streamlined financial reporting, and introduced a more strategic planning process aligned with business growth drivers.

Impact
The placement elevated the role of finance as a proactive, insight-generating function. The new VP FP&A improved forecasting accuracy, enhanced cross-functional decision-making, and provided the financial clarity needed to support strategic investments and global expansion.
